The Process

VA Benefit Program

Step ONE: Call Us or Use The Big 8 Eligibility Form

It all starts with you. Please call our office or complete the Big 8 Eligibility Form form on this website under “Veterans Aide” Free Care.  Our staff will then assess eligibility and get back with you.  This form is called the Big 8 Eligibility Form because there are 8 criteria for the free VA benefit.

If you have questions, we are available through the “Contact Us” page or using the “Book a 15 Minute Call” link. We look forward to hearing from you!

Step TWO: We talk by phone.

Usually within 2-3 business days, our Representative will contact you directly and discuss in detail such as services offered, pricing, minimums and expectations for both parties. If verbally agreed upon, the next step is to schedule the *FREE in-home assessment with your Representative. Once scheduled, don’t forget to invite your family and friend because we love introducing good news to the whole family if possible. Move to STEP 3.

*must agree to our minimum request of 36 hours per month in order to go to Step 3. We should be able to verbally discuss our minimum hourly request and our hourly rates, if the minimum is not attainable, we discontinue on moving forward and will not be able to make the assessment.

Step THREE: We meet you and your family (if applicable) at home.

  • Your Representative will inspect your home for safety and offer solutions for improvement if necessary
  • We will confirm our pricing, complete the in-home assessment, discuss our company and its offerings, discuss our Caregiver vetting protocol and training, plus explain how our agency is different with the help of the CARES Dementia training, aggressive vetting practices, etc.
  • If agreed upon, we allow you to sign off on all the paperwork
  • We then collect $100 non-refundable payment
  • We then find, hire, train, on-board the right Caregiver for you, then we **wait for the introduction.

Move to Step FOUR.

Step FOUR: We introduce YOUR Caregiver to you!

Once we’ve found the right Caregiver and he or she is fully vetted and trained, we will call you and schedule a live introduction. We never send a Caregiver out to a new home without a proper introduction. Instead, your Representative will lead the discussion. We will discuss days, times, shifts, expectations, and more. Move to STEP 5.

*must agree to our minimum request of 36 hours per month in order to go to Step 3. We should be able to verbally discuss our minimum hourly request and our hourly rates, if the minimum is not attainable, we discontinue on moving forward and will not be able to make the assessment.

Step FIVE: We're 'Thumbs Up' ready to start care!

At this point, you’ve been introduced to your new Caregiver. The days, shifts, times, etc. are already set up. All you have to do is… Enjoy! Our goals are to provide several hours of care throughout the month, eventually becoming extended family and providing the absolute best of care possible.

Minimums

Our minimums are extremely competitive and affordable, and include:

• 36 hours per month minimum
• 9 hours per week minimum
• 3 hours per shift minimum

No contracts; cancel anytime.

Fewer/less hours per week are possible, however, the possibilities are dependent on the questions below, which are:

Availability: Do we have an existing Caregiver available for additional hours?

Proximity: Do we have an existing Caregiver that lives close to your residence?

Skillsets: Do we have an existing Caregiver that has the skill sets that match your needs?

If you talk with other home care agencies, be cautious of those that offer less time and frequency of shifts. For example, if you only need help with one day a week, just 2-3 hours, expect to pay an expensive price. We, however, may have a simpler more affordable solution without any contracts or commitments.
